Disha welcomes you all to the Second survival conference”Bijoyini” on 12th November 2019 at Rotary Sadan. It aims to discuss the issues of “How did I hold back my tears”

Disha created history by organising First ever “Bengal-Bangladesh ” joint meet. The winners of two countries celebrated “pink October ” through performing arts….an unique effort to showcase “freedom from cancer” to the society.

Disha is a unique organization which is dedicated to the cause of cancer awareness nationally and internationally. It was founded by Dr Agnimita Giri Sarkar, a paediatrician by profession, with the sole idea of reaching the population and remove from their mind the negative stigmas associated with this disease. Dr Agnimita along with a group of “cancer winners” have adopted an innovative model of making people aware through “performing arts” staged by these brave survivors.

The members of Disha regularly conduct awareness programs among various people of various strata of the society.

Disha is dedicated also to the cause of mental and physical rehabilitation of newly detected and treated individuals.

Dr Agnimita could collaborate with other countries namely Bangladesh and plans to develop an international bondage to the cause of cancer awareness.
Cancer Research and patient support groups are the future agendas of this unique organization.
